One of the route options is to use Preferred Roads. This tells MapPoint to calculate routes that use your route preferences. These are set using the Road Preferences dialog box. This is displayed by pressing the Preferences button on the main MPMileCharter dialog box, and looks like this:
Each road type has a slider that specifies your preference for this road type. Slide each slider to your preference from Low (dislike) to High (like). The default is a mid-point of "no preference". Press the Reset button to reset all sliders to their default central positions.
Note: the Ferries slider is only used in the European edition of MapPoint.
Press OK close this dialog box and to save your road preference settings.
