Output Options

Top  Previous  Next

The Output Options are grouped in the top right corner of the main MPMileCharter panel.

The first option (Output to:) sets the destination format. This can be Excel or Text File. The Excel option will cause MPMileCharter to start Excel and to use it to create a workbook. It will also enable the Hide Excel during processing checkbox. Hiding Excel during processing can result in a small speed-up, but it is often useful to see Excel during processing for quality control purposes. The Text File option is described on the Writing to a Text File page.

Usually, the start points are listed on the left side of the chart and the end points are listed along the top of the chart. These may be swapped by checking the Reverse Axes checkbox.

By default, the start and end points are written to the output in the order that MapPoint reports them to MPMileCharter. They can be sorted by checking the Sort Names checkbox. The sort is a 'natural' sort - i.e. an alphabetic sort that can also sort numeric strings (e.g. numeric identifiers) correctly.

MPMileCharter can also find the longitude, latitude coordinates of the source and destination locations. Check the Output Coordinates checkbox if you wish to have these coordinates saved to the spreadsheet table(s).
